CREATING A NEW TYPE OF SCHOOL IN ST AUGUSTINE, FL

The history of Island Prep starts in August of 2011, Dani and Michael opened the doors to the first Island Prep Preschool in St Augustine. The couple had always envisioned providing a preschool that was safe, clean, and environmentally conscious. This school not only met their family’s needs but the overwhelming needs of the community. Within just four months of establishment, the school had a waiting list for new students. In 2012, Island Prep was honored to receive the Best New Business Award of 2012 from The St. Augustine Record.

On April 17th, 2015, Island Prep Elementary School was opened. This school is the very first private school in the City of St. Augustine Beach and within walking distance from the original preschool. The Elementary School is home to Kindergarten through 5th grade students. The school has grown to accommodate more students and the demand for quality education from the St. Augustine community.

In 2018 the Island Prep family grew again with the addition of a preschool located on US1, to accommodate families on the western side of town, and Bayside Preschool located near the Bridge of Lions.
